Preparations for the State of the Union

There were several DC National Guard trucks accompanied by police parked near exits off a freeway running below the city today, prepared to act as roadblocks in the event a rumored convoy of tractor-trailers attempts to enter Washington to disrupt Biden’s State of the Union address next Tuesday. Apparently one trucker was headed to the Beltway, which surrounds the capital area, this week to “strangle” DC with all his buddies, but only a few pickups showed up and he left town.

Oh boy, what a mess the world is in. I wouldn't wish our three week+ occupation of the city by hundreds of big rigs, and thousands of protestors calling for unhinged demands on anyone. I hope things stay calm. V
