So we’re back to this again

Temporary fencing has been re-erected around the US Capitol and the Supreme Court due to fears of a violent demonstration on Saturday by Trump followers protesting the treatment the people who staged the January 6 attack on the seat of the US government. A rushed drive-by because there was a policeman on a bike behind us and we weren't supposed to be stopping in front of the Capitol.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Nicely documented. "All at the cost of all of us tax payers ..."

This shouldn’t be. I really hope there is no violence. Thanks for documenting this. V

I'm so done with this country. I volunteer to live in outer space.

You got a great shot for being hurried along. Hopefully not many will actually show up. As Fong said, ad nauseum indeed.

A perfect illustration of the state in which Western democracies have arrived today: a sort of stalemate where all individualisms will confront each other.

home grown violence from right wingers is getting a bit much...frustrating it results in developments like this, disrupting lives of a populace with already enough challenges on their plates..
Bill Miller18-Sep-2021 02:04
I feel awful to see this and similar scenes playing out in so called free democracies around the world

Nicely captured, Helen. Melbourne's city centre is also locked down today, Saturday 18th, and public transport shut down, to forestall an anticipated large scale anti-vaxxer rally.

Just hope they don't pick another building to mess up. Really sick of his idiotic followers.
