Blocked

Just for some reference: The red indicates street closures and roadblocks in DC, all manned by Metro Police or National Guardsmen. You can imagine how difficult it is to get literally anywhere one might need to go.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

It seems like a virtual prison.

Charlie and I were looking at this map and wondering what they are doing about the pedestrian traffic.

It's not a pleasant picture with all these shutdowns, but maybe it's the best way and the safest, and hopefully by Wednesday it will all be over and everything will go back to normal BV

This image graphically depicts the very real situation in your city. Seeing these blocked streets is sobering.

Holy mackerel! I heard there will be more military on duty in DC for the Inaugural than are troops officially stationed in the whole of Afghanistan at this time. These are really sad times.

It goes well with the COVID stay at home orders, maybe will be in place in every city!

My sympathies to the residents of this area!
