Want a passport? Good luck with that.

We can’t easily get anywhere in the District outside of Capitol Hill due to the countless roadblocks, but Tim took this at the State Department on Friday. The man without a mask was making some kind of videotape, and the woman at right appeared to be his director. People don’t actually apply for or pick up passports at Main State, but it’s totally closed off to the public for any reason now.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Well, Raymond's comment is pretty apt! Even a schlocky Hollywood B movie would never dream up this scenario. Good that you are documenting all of this. V

This reminds me of scenes I have encountered in other parts of the world. Never did I ever dream America would come to the same fate.

BTW, I got my very first passport in person in DC. That was a long time ago. All I had to worry about back then was allowing a valet to park my precious sportscar.

Like you're living in a war zone. I've ceased being amazed by anything that's going on and try to concentrate on activities that make me and others feel good. Worrying is a totally useless pursuit.

It’s like a third world country somewhere. It’s upsetting but important to see. V

Who knew you would someday be a war reporter ... in the USA! Putin, sorry, Trump, sure left his mark in the history books of your country ... Even Hollywood would never have thought that a US President would try to make a Coup!

Nice candid, Tim. Lets hope there is no trouble.
