‘Skyworks’ for the new year

Wishing my Pbase friends and their families a safe, healthy and happy 2021!

This shot, which I had actually discarded then retrieved, was taken from the car last weekend, when the contrails were simply spectacular. They reminded me of fireworks, which we won’t have many of this New Year’s Eve.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Nice capture, if it very cold in the upper atmosphere you occasionally get 'rainbows/rings' in the contrails due to the ice crystals, although I've only seen it twice. Happy New Year.
