Martian sky over Washington

This had to be one of the most unusual sunsets I’ve ever seen. I was sitting in my office, which has a skylight in it, and suddenly realized that everything was orange – not just peachy, but a very eerie orange. I rushed to Tim’s office and snapped this from the window

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We get evenings like this from the smoke during the forest fire season. This year has been so wet, there are hardly any forest fires. Lovely image. V
