Keeping watch over the National Mall

Ulysses S. Grant overlooking the National Mall and Washington Monument, which must be a half mile away. Most of the Smithsonian museums are located on the Mall, but unfortunately they’re all closed due to the government shutdown. Immediately behind the monument is the Lincoln Memorial and beyond that the office buildings of Rossylyn, across the Potomac River in Virginia.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

The other old standby, posted earlier:

other sizes: small medium large original auto
