A sunny Pierce School, now lofts

A picture I took years ago of Pierce School. I think it looks better in sunlight and with a blue sky!

This wraps up my gallery on this very interesting (to me ;-)) school conversion to condos. Thanks so much for all the support and kind comments! I do have a few pictures I haven't posted that some people have expressed interest in, so I may post them later.

*******

We attended an open house of the entire Pierce School Lofts building last weekend and were given permission to photograph whatever we wanted.

The Pierce School was built in 1895, bought by the owners in 2000 for $275,000 as a flooded and rodent infested shell and converted to condos in 2005. All the units are for sale, ranging in price from $359,000 to $699,000 for the lower lofts and $3,399,000 for the 9,500 square foot penthouse.

I enjoy seeing the conversions as I'm all in favour of that rather than tearing an old building down. Clearly a great job has been done, and by you in your photography of the place. What was the status of the building when you took this shot? V
