A detour from finishing up my nature exhibition gallery to wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season!

I had hoped to take some Christmas pictures in the District that evening but decided not to because it was so bitterly cold, but when we drove past the White House and I saw the National Christmas Tree, I couldn't resist. We got as close as possible without walking all the (long) way around the barriers, although in the end I was so frozen we finally had to leave, but not before I got this picture. FWIW that's an American flag on top of the White House, but too dark to really capture it.
