By Shadi Ghadirian of Tehran, “The war helmet and colored headscarf hanging on a somber grey wall in #4 refer to the diverging paths of men and women. The helmet protects the man on the battlefield and the headscarf is the woman’s ‘outside’ protection.”
A pity about the reflections, but in some rooms they were simply overwhelming and impossible to avoid. Still, I really liked this woman’s work and wanted to show one last photograph by her.
