The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, who ruled Morocco from 1672 to 1727, was built in the 17th century. It was a beautiful complex both inside and out, with its several courtyards, burial chamber, ablutions room, fountain and marvelous tile work and doors.
The entryway to the main and elegant part of the mausoleum from the empty courtyards, which are decorated in a sober style, allowing visitors to leave behind them the hustle and bustle of the city.
