The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, who ruled Morocco from 1672 to 1727, was built in the 17th century. It was a beautiful complex both inside and out, with its several courtyards, burial chamber, ablutions room, fountain and marvelous tile work and doors.
A door in one of the empty courtyards, which are decorated in a sober style, allowing visitors to leave behind them the hustle and bustle of the city.
