The sultan of Oman was born in Salalah, and he has a royal palace here as well as in Muscat. There aren’t any barriers preventing people from walking right up to the gates, although there was a high wall surrounding the complex (plus the Arabian Sea on one side) so it wasn’t possible to see too much inside.
This is one of a number of shots posted today of the tomb of Job out in the countryside and the pleasant drive there and back, in the company of camels, goats and cows.
