The Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) museum was one of the reasons I wanted to go back to Muscat (this and a few other things that were unfortunately closed on Friday, our one full free day there). After a tortuous drive to get there, we found it, right next to a refinery, only to find that the main exhibition was closed for maintenance! That does seem to be the way of things here… We did, however, visit their interactive EcOman Centre, which was pretty interesting (picture to come).
