An example of the high-end merchandise at Centria Mall. This was taken at the Jimmy Choo store there. I had only heard about his shoes on television, but they were so enticing I just had to go in and ended up buying the bright pink pair, which have featured in some of my abaya pictures. I love them, and they are incredibly comfortable, which is the most important thing for me. And you can make designs in the sequins if you’re bored ;-).
The shoes were pricy enough, but I figured I rarely buy anything here so could afford to splurge. The teeny tiny purse just enchanted me, but it cost about $1,300, and I simply couldn’t justify it, so left the store happy with my shoes but brokenhearted about the bag.
Sorry I have had a hard time keeping up, but the editor-in-chief of my newspaper’s mother paper in Istanbul was detained by the police on Sunday (on charges of starting an armed terrorist organization, like how absurd), and work has simply been a zoo all week long.
