Munsinger Gardens, Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Award winning author, illustrator, composer and musician Douglas Wood put on a fabulous concert on the shores of the Mississippi River in picturesque Munsinger Gardens on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Douglas Wood is also the author of a couple of my favorite books--"Old Turtle" (a children's book I highly recommend to adults) and "Paddle Whispers"--which speaks to the love of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in particular and wild places in general.

Wonderful shot of an artist I to listen to years ago. I had a cassette tape of his which had songs about the French explorers and loons in the lakes. V.
