...or the ship of death, whether you look at it as the glass half full or half empty
(not to be confused with the Lake of Death, which is located in Togo - I won't go into details
here because that's a different story).
Actually called the "Moussa Maiga" (Phone #: 672-6383 - I really wouldn't crank call, as you will incur major
long distance penalties as well as having the possibility of the captain tracking you down
and killing you - you'll know it when he shows up at your door ...believe me, you'll know
- his name is Moussa). Ok, well anyway, this boat took us three days down the Niger River
from Mopti to Timbuktu, a trip I would recommend to anyone. Fantastic. Maybe the best
travel experience I have ever had. Here we are parked for the night and setting up camp.
Why am I not helping, because I am sleeping on top of the orange part of the boat, thus,
I have time to take pictures while everyone else is setting up tents.
Taken on the Niger River somewhere in between Mopti and Timbuktu.
