Actually, Jan 7, 2008 is Ethiopian Xmas...which is actually the year 2001 in Ethiopia. They follow
a variation of the Julian calender, not the Gregorian calender. One of the most important masses
of the celebration is held early in the morning the day after Christmas (Jan 8). After this mass
the crowds and pilgrims disperse and start the journey home.
