Male building a nest on a utility pole. I was told by a knowledgeable person that this is a 2 year old male (he's banded). Birds this age are unlikely to have a successful nest due to inexperience, so he doesn't have much interest from resident females. This year he'll establish territory and maybe have better luck nest year.
