This is the earliest photo I have with a view of the back. It's looking due east, into the tangle of wild grape, white mulberry, and buckthorn. The telephone pole in the rear marks the east border of the property, and makes a good reference point in later photos. It's surrounded by huge buckthorn trees, covered with berries. The neighbor to the east also had a large hedge row of buckthorn leading back toward his house. Also visible in this photo, to the right of the telephone pole, near the right edge of the photo, is the dead tree, which is still standing at this point. It's not as obvious in this winter photo, but it's surrounded by many buckthorn plants, and various other wildly growing trees, and a very pervasive vine as well as other weeds. The dead tree later fell over in a storm.
