I brought along a little good luck mascot to help me out. I wasn't prepared for the warm weather we had the first day. It was sunny and around 70 degrees. When the cranes were around, we had to wear darker clothing and/or camouflage so we'd blend in better and our movements weren't so obvious. I had brought some additional layers so wore a black jacket while actually photographing cranes. When this photo was taken, it was still early and there weren't any cranes around yet.
