My goal was to catch this guy in flight. While I'd hoped to get a tack sharp image of it with outspread wings, I like the post processing on this image.
LightRoom 2 came in real handy for this shot. The default global preset (Bleached) pushed the body of the butterfly into the shadows. I did a little localized exposure correction to bring the body back out. I then pushed the saturation of the wings back & added a little brightness. In LR 1.x, this shot wouldn't have made it to my gallery (and I still haven't bought Photoshop yet).
