greetings,,, I have a bird here that strongly resembles your brownish gull pictured above, i have some photos that i took of him today but they are not as close as your shot,,, I am hoping you can help. he was hovering around Oneida Lake with some other gulls,,the white ones(am new to bird watching) he is large eagle like and his wing span is approximately 5 feet or more. his bill is like the one in your photo. i am going to try and send you my photos, please give some insight if you can.
