Glaucous-winged x Western Gull

Fernhill Wetlands, Forest Grove, Oregon

Typical first generation cross. Appears almost exactly half way between Western Gull and Glaucous-winged Gull. Primaries dark gray, contrasting with paler mantle. Pink eye ring typical of Glaucous-winged and hybrids.
