it isn't hard to locate Butler Wash, yet finding a way down from the rim proved elusive...with help from sketchy instructions provided by our hotel, another hiker on his way back up, and a few stone cairns, we eventually found our way and scrambled down the steep cliff...a hint of a trail led along the side, and soon we arrived at the object of our quest, ancient petroglyphs on the darker rock near the centre of the frame
