a small inlet...known locally as a slough (pronounced 'sloo') offers calmer waters for more delicate plants like these reeds...past their best in winter...but soon to grow again in the coming months

The top left bottom right diagonal of the reeds, countered by the perpendicular reflected trunks, makes for a not unpleasing composition. Another day closer to Spring. Regards John
