Lake Shore Lodge, Kipili, Tanzania

We weren't able to see the Congo across the lake until
the last day when the haze subsided. That evening
we were supposed to go on a river trip to observe/photograph birds, but
a family of hippos blocked the entrance to the river, so
landed up enjoying wonderful cocktails and a spectacular sunset
over the Congo hills with the wrong lens :(

A beautiful scene and capture, especially with the silhouetted point, and I think the lens was fine! How odd it seems not be able to go someplace because of hippos blocking the way ;-). V.
