Land Mullet, Bellatorias major

Queen Mary Falls, Qld

The largest species of skink in Australia is the land mullet. Usually extremely shy, this spectacular lizard is most commonly
encountered in rainforest fringes next to substantial cover, such as a large pile of logs.
