Striped Burrowing Frog Cyclorana alboguttata

Coolatai NSW Australia

The flash colours in the groin or on the back of the thighs of many frogs are thought to be important cues for frogs to make sure
they get together with the right species when they breed. Until I saw this Striped Burrowing Frog climbing up a sandstone rock I had
never noticed the beautiful colours on this species.

Such beauty, such colour, such marvel, such chewable legs.
If that frog was in my country, I would eat him.
