It may be his career in International Development that prompted René Welter to describe himself as curious, critical, and gregarious. He says, “I continue to learn because the need to learn has always been with me throughout my life. I am moved by beauty in all its forms: Nature, Art, Architecture, Painting, Music, and now I want to share this passion with others with the same interest.” Fellow members of study groups at MCLL which he moderates and/or participates greatly benefit from his encyclopedic knowledge of music, art and history.
