Farla Grover

Not rain, nor sleet, nor snow can stop Farla on her track for lifelong learning. Besides being a wife and mother she studied psychology at McGill and later owned and ran a shop called The Junque Shoppe. Farla later found a new horizon with a 20-year career as a real estate agent. Farla concedes, “After all these years, you know, I realize you can take the girl out of the junque shoppe but you can't remove the thrill of the hunt.” She is always willing to show others how to successfully sort out the treasures from the junk. “Fairly easy” she says, but then she is in so many ways a treasure herself. She is photographed here in her home with one of her own creations inspired by renowned glass sculptor Dale Chihuly.
