We arrived in Tobruk in the afternoon of the day before 'eclipse day'. Tobruk is a rather quiet natural harbor, surrounded by the Libyan desert. It was of strategic importance in WWII, and big cemeteries outside the city are witnesses of the many soldiers killed on both sides by trying to capture and recapture this place.
