sorry to bother you again with ID but I think this is also a red-tailed hawk. There is no stripe on the tail and red-shouldered hawks have stripes on the tail. that bird remind me of the red-tailed I took at the Palo Alto Baylands not so long ago that had a very red breast colour..the marking on your bird looks so similar that I am thinking it's the same. also look at the tail, we can see a hint of red on the side of the tail in your bird..here is my bird..same bird? http://www.pbase.com/zylen/image/37178434
