Across the road

This is the view immediately across the road from yesterday's shot (this one taken from the bus!!). The road leads down to soho. I've never been in the Spice of Life pub, have you?

Nice shot of the neighborhood. Haven't been to Spice of Life Pub, maybe someday.

Never been in but passed this way yesterday for my meeting in Westminster. I know, I always get lost in London....

i like how you manage to get interesting photos from th bus (definitely saves a lot of time walking around looking for subjects to shoot). :)
Guest 25-May-2005 05:44
nope..never been but sounds interesting..
the telephone booths sorta make the shot here..it seems to be the center of focus.

Anything with those red phone booths is a good photo.

What I could give to have a scarlet callbox like that...

Glad to see you back on the bus! Great shot...

This is a fantastic shot, especially from the bus! Nope, I've never been in this pub, but the name sure is interesting. I've also never seen 4 phone boxes in one place. It must be a record!

and I thought I was doing well for finding one today!

Just off Shaftesbury Avenue? never been in, used to walk past every now and again, looks like it has gone through a change in this shot. The Tphone boxes are great, what happened to all those little stickers they used to have in them?
Guest 24-May-2005 22:01

I'd go in there thinking it was an Indian restaurant :>) I love your bus window drive by shots Gail.

Looks like they have to huddle together for protection
Guest 24-May-2005 21:23
..so what is the collective noun for old fashioned red phone boxes - this lot must be almost unique ??
Ric Yates24-May-2005 21:05
Looks like the old red phoneboxes are hunting in packs now!
John Finlayson24-May-2005 20:53
No but we have a "Spices of Life" Indian Takeaway !
Sheena Woodhead24-May-2005 20:38
With most people having a mobile these days I wonder how long these 4 telephone boxes will be required!
