spider

It was actually the spider I spotted but the billboard is kind of amusing (or is it just me?). Do people really rush out to buy Cosmo' magazine having seen this? I guess they do or they wouldn't be able to justify the cost of the advert.

I've been at work all day and school all evening so I'm off for dinner and a glass of something nice now. PBase is slow so I'll come back later to comment :-)

Nice addition to the collection. Missing a couple of legs though :-)

Adverts make no sense at all in my opinion. I buy what I know I want, not what someone else tells me I want, need or would enjoy...guess you could say I'm off the mailing lists !!

Gail wonderful composition..

to me the billboard doesn't seemed to fit into this part of the community....the last thing they want is how to look like a movie star or give your relationship.....

nice contrast. :)
hope i'm not generalising too much.

Spider - fabulous! Cosmo? A rag for young women without enough self-confidence to trust their own instincts about their relationships/sex-life/fashion sense. So probably yes, they see the sassy girl looking so 'devil-may-care', aspire to that life and dash out to buy it to be told in words of one syllable how to achieve it.....and then next month they do the same again because reading it did nothing for their self-confidence!

What is it that happens after spider relationships??? Not exactly a kiss as I recall... another juxtaposition that springs to mind.... OK I have a strange mind

Well spotted - your bus journey's are fascinating

Just makes me want a lolly, but then I guess it's not aimed at me. :-)

Nice shot, lots to take in here - almost looks like the billboard isn't part of the same picture!

Great juxtapositioning. I much prefer the creature on the right ;->

"Coffee, Salt Beef, Bagels, Tea" - looks like my sort of place!

must nip out and buy that mag...

Would have been even better if the billboard had said, "Give a little bite to your relationship!"

I only read it at the hairdressers

nice. i think the Cosmo billboard is a critical element here. the Cosmo billboard will be the FIRST thing people see, but that lollipop in her hand, points to the spider, thus directing your attention to it. otherwise, the spider is a bit small and might not catch a person's attention.

i also agree with David in that the concentric circles on the Billboard kind of reflect a web, but i'm not too sure many people will make that connection, nor is it particularly critical for that matter.

fun shot.

Great image, well spotted, I like the fact that the billboard even looks like it has a cobweb on it
