22 March
Luba's place

Well I know I said yesterday that today would be a happy day but that didn't work out.... I had a meeting from 10.30 - 1.00pm and then due to 'issues' in the office, no lunch break and then there was further "trouble at' mill", as they say! So all in all a B-A-D day. Hence the rubbish photo but a good story to go with it anyway.......
This little Russian restaurant is in Islington. When my brother in law returned to England for a couple of years having been living in Australia and New Zealand, he came to stay with us for a few months. One particular evening he returned home a little worse for wear. "What's the mattter with you" I asked.. turned out he'd had one vodka too many in this place, came out in a daze without looking and put his foot into the road at the same time that a double decker 73 bus was coming along. The 73 ran over his foot! He and the foot lived to tell the tale (very lucky!) but his boot had a tyre print to prove it!!!

I'm thinking you took this photo from the top of a double decker
as it was running over your brothers foot?? :)
I'm sipping a Scotch right now and sending good vibes across the pond
to ya! Seems there's a run on bad work news lately!!

Nice story.
I have a similar story involving teeth, but there's no time to tell it now.

It's always good to have a story to go with a photograph. Glad his foot survived!

Never been to a Russian restaurant, so thanks for the warning. At least I'll invest in some Doc Martens first....
