Nubble Light, Cape Neddick

Every year this light house is decorated for the holiday season. This year (2004) over 3,000 persons showed up for the first lighting. The lights are usually turned on at 4pm. I made it there about a week after the first lighting and after the snow. The time was after 5:30pm, the wind was 15 to 20 mph, and the temperature about 10 above zero.

To me this is winter wonderland. There's nothing quite like the blue tones of a winter's night and in this you've achieved a great balance between the ground and the sky.

Amazing photos - I tried to capture Nubble Light with the snow at Christmas but never could get it right. Your work is wonderful! It looks like a painting, with the colors so stunning! Thanks for sharing!

I just had to move my laptop and the external hard drive with the data you wished is with the raw file on this. But it was pretty dark and so a long exposure. I also used the little flash on the Rebel and then in photoshop had to make some other balancing adjustments to the rocks on the right as they were pretty dark.
