Lunchtime Leftovers

Southern Vancouver Island

Sea lions are opportunistic feeders and have a diet primarily consisting of fish. Although they have conical shaped teeth, including four canine teeth, they swallow their fish whole. Their teeth are primarily used for catching prey; this therefore enables them to eat their fill when the opportunity arises.

Gorgeous, sharp portrait of this guy. Lovely to see the pretty brown eye and that sleek wet, black fur. That touch of red is the icing on the cake. V
