"Here she comes!", "Ferry's in!", "There she goes!" are familiar comments
made by residents of the small islands off Vancouver Island's coastline.
Many of these islanders travel back and forth on a daily basis and a fleet
of smaller ferries, along with a few float plane companies, are their main
form of transportation. The weather frequently impacts these services...but
even though they may have to wait a few hours they eventually make their trip.
