Those are tulip magnolias, not cherry trees. The magnolias were out in full bloom, but the cherries were about four days shy of peak when I was downtown. Absolutely the most gorgeous weather you can imagine! 70ºF, 15% humidity, 5mph winds, crystal clear blue sky.
