The day was overcast and actually was drizzling when I shot this. Not the best day for photos. I returned again in October, but I was a bit early for the fall colors (photos pending). I plan on returning a third time.
This view looks south. To the right, just out of sight around the bend is Harper's Ferry. Visible below is the CSX Railway which used to be the B&O Railroad. Between the railroad and the river are the remains of the C&O Canal. Behind this view is the Apalachian Trail.
