Upper Austrian Rainforest?

Auerbach, Upper Austria

Another image with a cooling effect (hopefully, as the weather forcast prognosed the "hottest day of the year" for today - once again). Took this image with Buz Kiefer in mind, who takes some of the finest nature images on pbase.

This area in Southern Upper Austria has some of the highest average rainfall in Austria. Will upload a few more shots soon.

It's a beautiful image Eckhart and thanks for the kind words. Judging by the moss on the still standing tree, I'd say you get at least 80 inches of rain here annually. Wonderful scenery and GMV.

You have definitely a Buz like green in this image! The moss and the strong grass show the humidity of the place. Nice scene.

If only there were more of these wonderful old forests left as they should be....you wouldn't be feeling the effect of summer half as much if all was well with the planet :>( This is a lovely saturated image, Eckhart.
