The beginning of May is probably the most beautiful time of the year in the Southern part of Upper Austria where I grew up. The meadows and the woods have become green, and the apple and pear trees start to bloom. Since I live in Vienna now, I have not seen this for a couple of years, but last week my surprise trip to Wels and Scharnstein (see yesterday's pad) gave me the chance to. A bit early still, so not all trees were blooming yet, but already incredibly beautiful. Will post more images soon.
