It's nesting season for these beautiful birds. The female worked hard building the nest. The male did more than just look pretty; his job was to chase off invading sparrows.
I don't do much wildlife photography. I'm not patient enough to scout, sit, wait, wait, wait some more.... but when the opportunity presents itself I'm glad to take advantage.
