2/24/08 - Winter Jasmine 2008

The detail requires a larger resolution; the thumbnail is useless. This 800x532 isn't very good either.
This is an overlay of two images. The background (subdued, smaller flowers) portion of the image is, itself, a 10 shot multiple exposure. Not certain what to call the resulting composite.
The D300 allows this to be done in camera. Shoot a multiple exposure and, separately, shoot the image you'd like to use as an overlay. Go to the Image Overlay menu, choose the two images you just made, and that's it.
The flowers are Winter Jasmine. They started blooming about a month ago - guess that's why they're *Winter* Jasmine.

Interesting shot, and especially interesting that you can do this all in-camera.
