2/4/08 - Painting with Light

Long time exposure (bulb setting) while painting this stiff still life with light. I used a red light for about 90% of the time and a white light just for general overall lighting - two small pen lights that are normally attached to my photo vest for working outdoors at night.
This technique is a big hit & miss, trial and error experiment - while checking the results between shots. Couldn't even imagine doing this with film since the percentage of keepers is so low.
Inside a walk-in closet with our little dog outside whining at the door to be let in.

Nicely done, one of these days I will have to try this. V
