9/26/07 - Thermal Abstract

Yellowstone Midway Geyser area has beautiful colors and patterns in the runoffs. Spent over an hour in heavy rain & wind walking the boardwalk that crosses this area. Several folks who passed by said "too bad the weather is so bad for photography". It was fine although keeping the lens dry was a challenge. I continue to be amazed at the durability of the D70 & D70s. I have them out every day for several hours in all kinds of conditions. Used to think that keeping the body bone dry was essential. Not true as far as rain goes - a plastic bag and an occasional wipe down after shots does the trick.
