Cades Cove, Smoky Mountains National Park. Not the normal view since this is a one-way loop road and I'm looking back toward oncoming traffic. Most visitors never get out of their car ("drive by shooting" - holding a point & shoot out of the car window while slowing to take a picture of a deer 100 yards away; with flash, of course; it's hilarious to watch).
Back to my country road & fences theme - road, fences, S-curves, moody mist; how can you go wrong? Steady rain, a downpour at times. Tricky keeping all of the important stuff dry (doesn't include me in a full set of GoreTex rain gear). Tried using a large umbrella for the first time and that worked pretty well - the problem was holding the umbrella, a remote shutter release device and a grad ND filter with just two hands and clicking the release. Probably should have use the Cokin filter holder for the grad. I'll continue with the umbrella (barring a stiff breeze).
