Yesterday the tickseed sunflower was the forground element for a wetland scene - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/66166195
Today I got into a larger growth of these bright yellow flowers and shot some multiple exposures. This image is a 5-shot multiple exposure. I focused on the larger flower at the lower left. After each exposure, the camera was rotated and zoomed (all the while keeping the lower left "subject" flower in the same spot within the frame). Freeman Patterson can do this handheld apparently. I shoot this type of shot from the tripod for better control than I can do handheld. Keeping the subject in the same spot while zooming & rotating - while handholding the camera - is tough for someone like me who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
