6/30/05 - Water Lily

Without the Gitzo 2220 tripod's flexibility, this shot would have been nearly impossible. The flower was in the water at the base of a 6-foot high pile of large bolders. The tripod and I were spreadeagled every which way - including one leg each in the water. I had visions of dumping expensive camera gear & myself into the drink. All's well that ends well.
Certainly found a pristine speciman with this one. This off centered sunburst with flowers is getting to be my signature composition - I like it and it avoids the static centered options.
